Part III : Kali Warrior

I feel more and more like Kali these days, the ultimate warrior goddess, symbol of destruction + rebirth. She lives in the depths of manipura, the third chakra, the source of personal power, the house of the Cosmos, the seat of fire. Kali carries a sword, she drips blood from her tongue and wears skulls as adornment; symbolization of the slaying of demons, my own inner demons, and then wearing them like badges of honor.

Kali invites divine freedom. She is the power that sets you free from all barriers that keep you stuck. Kali is warrior energy, a fierce representation that you hold your own divine power; that you are the guide, student, lover, fighter in your human experience. Kali emphasizes that we have endless time, to explore, to search, to feel, to be free. She is equated with the eternal night and is the transcendent power of time, reminding us that time is simply a construct.. You can destroy what doesn’t serve you at any moment. You can devour kala, time, and resume your own formlessness. A formless void full of endless potential. She is a walking force. Kali is energy itself.

I’ve moved out of the fire. I’m on the other side. These images are a forever reminder that I can leave behind the things that no longer serve my highest Self. I can shed old layers, knowing that I’m not who I once was, that I’m constantly always evolving. I can free my Self from limiting beliefs. I can push boundaries. I can expand.

I will always acknowledge the girl who was buried in the ashes. May 23rd is a continued reminder that everywhere I’ve been is the groundwork to where I’m going. The multifaceted layers of my human experience have prepared me for each moment on my journey.

There are still pieces of that young girl from twelve years ago. She will always be with me. I honor her innocence & vulnerability always. But she is not who I am. She lived in an era that did not propel her expansion.

I WALKED AWAY FROM EVERYTHING I THOUGHT I WAS SO I COULD STEP INTO THE WOMAN I WAS BORN TO BE.
