Quality of the Voyage

THE MASTER HAS FAILED MORE TIMES THAN THE BEGINNER HAS EVER TRIED

It has been said that it takes 10,000 hours to master a craft. TEN THOUSAND HOURS of effort, sweat, joy, struggle, fear, exhilaration, sadness, timing, resilience, laughter, injury, humility, compassion, falling, trust, grace, persistence, bliss.

The reality is that the final destination is not what actually creates the master of her (or his) craft. It’s so much more about the quality of the voyage, the things you discover about yourself along that journey + how you respond to moments of polarity and the feelings of duality.

Your reaction to your Self is where the MASTERY takes places. Acknowledging the sensations and revelations that present themselves and being aware of your response while remaining unattached to what that looks like, that is true mastery, that is the Yoga.

I’m forever evolving into new levels of Self mastery. This shape took a ton of dedication and continues to reveal itSelf to me in many different forms. Our processes take time, commitment + consistency. Stay true and humble. Don’t ever give up on yourSelf. You never know who you’re inspiring.

Thank you to all of my teachers who have helped to shape and guide me on this bountiful journey. I carry you with me. Deep gratitude to all of my students who honor me with the duty of teaching them. I see you.
