THE PATH WITHIN : YIN YOGA TRAINING

~ FOUNDATIONS ~

Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative art form that invites us to turn inward and listen. Rooted in Taoist philosophy and the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine, Yin works beyond the muscles and into the deeper layers of the body, our fascia, ligaments and joints, where time, tension and memory often reside. In long held postures, the body softens, the breath deepens and the mind begins to quiet, revealing the subtle landscapes within.

Yin is the gentle antidote to our culture of constant motion. It teaches the beauty of stillness, the strength in surrender and the grace that comes from allowing rather than striving. Through this practice, we learn to nourish the parasympathetic nervous system to rest, digest and trust. In doing so, we rediscover our own rhythm.

Off the mat, the lessons of Yin ripple outward. It fosters patience, emotional balance and presence. These qualities deepen our connections with ourselves, with others and with life itself. Yin Yoga becomes a bridge between effort and ease, reminding us that true power often lives in the quiet spaces in between.

~ EDUCATION ~

I’m co-leading this experience with my dear friend and colleague Tiffany Keyser. She has a deep dedication to the practice and a passion to continue education in her community.

This Yin teacher training fosters a space to slow down, listen deeply and reconnect with the quiet layers of your practice, your path to within. The training covers the fundamental principles of Yin rooted in Taoist philosophy, and includes anatomy and physiology related to connective tissues, Traditional Chinese Medicine, meridian lines, functional sequencing and more. Participants learn to safely and effectively guide students through passive poses and develop skills in props, modifications and class design, with an emphasis on mindfulness, meditation and nervous system regulation.

Over the course of this program you will be exposed to Yogic philosophy, anatomy, the history of Yin yoga, meditative concepts, Chakra energy systems and more.

I feel deeply that it is our job as teachers to leave students with a better understanding of their breath and body, and a willingness to explore new possibilities. Throughout this training, you will be given the tools to share approaches to the practice that offer your students an original and multi layered experience. Furthermore, you will leave this program with your own unique voice, style and gifts as a yoga teacher.

I look forward to this co-collaboration and can’t wait to watch your growth as a student, a teacher and as a human!
